The Pitze flows through the Pitztal valley, a southern branch of the Inntal. It has a length of about {{convert|41|km}}, and its basin area is {{cvt|308|km2}}.{{GeoQuelle|AT-7|TIRIS}} It merges with the Inn {{convert|3|km}} east of the city of Imst at an elevation of {{convert|700|m}}.
