The aircraft is intended to be supplied as a complete ready-to-fly-aircraft.<ref name="WDLA11">Bayerl, Robby; Martin Berkemeier; et al: ''World Directory of Leisure Aviation 2011-12'', page 66. ==Design and development== The LS1 was designed to comply with the US light-sport aircraft rules. It features a cantilever low-wing, a two-seats-in-side-by-side configuration enclosed cockpit, fixed tricycle landing gear and a single engine in tractor configuration. The LS1 has a distinctively curved fuselage.<ref name="WDLA11" />
The aircraft is made from composites. Its {{convert|29.5|ft|m|1|abbr=on}} span wing has an area of {{convert|124|sqft|m2|abbr=on}} and for simplicity has no flaps. Standard engines available are the {{convert|100|hp|kW|0|abbr=on}} Rotax 912ULS, {{convert|85|hp|kW|0|abbr=on}} Jabiru 2200, {{convert|120|hp|kW|0|abbr=on}} Jabiru 3300, {{convert|100|hp|kW|0|abbr=on}} Continental O-200 and the {{convert|108|hp|kW|0|abbr=on}} Lycoming O-235 four-stroke powerplants. The cockpit is {{convert|54|in|cm|0|abbr=on}} in width.<ref name="WDLA11" /> <!-- ==Operational history== --> <!-- ==Variants== --> <!-- ==Aircraft on display== -->
