=== History of National Air Operation Command ===

On 28 January 2022, the National Air Defense Command (''Kohanudnas'') was liquidated and alongside the Air Operation Command 1, 2, and 3 were officially merged into one organization, the National Air Operation Command ({{lang|id|Komando Operasi Udara Nasional}} or ''Koopsudnas''). The unified service serves as an umbrella institution managing all air defense and superiority operations under the Air Force, and thus simplifying the chain of command. The ''Koopsudnas'' is led by an Air Marshal.<ref>{{cite web |first=Edna Caroline |last=Pattisina |url=https://www.kompas.id/artikel/koopsudnas-diresmikan-operasi-tni-au-kini-lebih-terintegrasi |title=Koopsudnas Diresmikan, Operasi TNI AU Kini Lebih Terintegrasi |website=Kompas.id |date=28 January 2022 |access-date=11 August 2025 |url-access=limited |language=ID}}</ref><ref>{{Cite web|last=Noviansyah|first=Wildan|date=2022-01-28|title=KSAU Ganti Nama Kohanudnas Jadi Koopsudnas|url=https://news.detik.com/berita/d-5918096/ksau-ganti-nama-kohanudnas-jadi-koopsudnas|access-date=2022-01-31|work=Detik.com}}</ref>
