==Sections of IEC 61108== Standard ''IEC 61108'' is divided into seven parts, each relating to a different GNSS system's receiver equipment, performance requirements, methods of testing, and required test results:<ref name=":0">{{Cite book |last1=Tegedor |first1=Javier |last2=Fortuny |first2=Joaquim |last3=Fernandez |first3=Guillermo |last4=Lacarra |first4=Elisabet |last5=Canestri |first5=Ettore |last6=Porfili |first6=Silvia |last7=Gioia |first7=Ciro |date=2025-05-12 |title= European Navigation Conference 2024|chapter=IEC-61108-7 SBAS Standard for Shipborne Receivers: Preliminary Testing Validation Activities |language=en |location=Basel Switzerland |publisher=MDPI |volume=88 |pages=48 |doi=10.3390/engproc2025088048 |doi-access=free }}</ref> * IEC 61108-1: Global positioning system (GPS) equipment * IEC 61108-2: Global navigation satellite system (GLONASS) equipment * IEC 61108-3: Galileo equipment * IEC 61108-4: Shipborne DGPS and DGLONASS maritime radio beacons * IEC 61108-5: BeiDou equipment * IEC 61108-6: Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System (IRNSS) equipment * IEC 61108-7: Satellite-Based Augmentation System (SBAS) equipment

==IMO Resolutions== The International Maritime Organization (IMO) has made several resolutions on performance standards of shipborne GNSS receivers, corresponding to the IEC standards for different GNSS constellations and receiver equipment.

On 1 December 2000, the International Maritime Organization (IMO) adopted three resolutions regarding the performance standards for shipborne GNSS receivers:<ref>{{Cite journal |last1=Zalewski |first1=Pawel |last2=Bergmann |first2=Michael |last3=Wawruch |first3=Ryszard |last4=Weintrit |first4=Adam |date=2023 |title=Challenges Related to Standardization of GNSS/RNSS Shipborne Equipment by International Maritime Organization (IMO) |url=https://www.transnav.eu/Article_Challenges_Related_to_Standardization_Zalewski,68,1357.html |journal=TransNav, the International Journal on Marine Navigation and Safety of Sea Transportation |language=en |volume=17 |issue=4 |pages=863–869 |doi=10.12716/1001.17.04.12 |issn=2083-6473 |doi-access=free}}</ref> * IMO RESOLUTION MSC.112(73), corresponding to the IEC 61108-1 test standard * IMO RESOLUTION MSC.113(73), corresponding to the IEC 61108-2 test standard * IMO RESOLUTION MSC.114(73), corresponding to the IEC 61108-4 test standard

On 5 December 2006, a fourth resolution was adopted: {{Citation needed|date=June 2025}} * IMO RESOLUTION MSC.233(82), corresponding to the IEC 61108-3 standard
