== Description ==
''Eagle S'' is a crude oil and oil products tanker with a deadweight tonnage of {{convert|74035|t|LT}} and 12 cargo tanks that have a combined volumetric capacity of {{convert|81320|m3|oilbbl}} at 98% filling. The ship is {{convert|228.6|m|ftin}} long, {{convert|32.3|m|ftin}} wide, and has a displacement of {{convert|89381|t|LT}} when loaded to the maximum draught of {{convert|14.5|m|ftin}}. The ship has a crew of 24.<ref name="seaweb" />
Like most oil tankers, ''Eagle S'' is powered by a single low-speed two-stroke crosshead diesel engine driving a fixed pitch propeller. The ship's five-cylinder MAN-B&W 5S60MC-C main engine, manufactured by Hudong Heavy Machinery under license, is rated at {{convert|11300|kW|hp}} when running at 105 rpm. This propulsion system gives ''Eagle S'' a maximum speed of {{convert|14.5|kn}}. When running at a service speed of {{convert|12|kn}}, the ship burns {{convert|35|t|ST}} of fuel oil per day. In addition, the ship has three {{convert|900|kW|hp|adj=on}} auxiliary diesel generators to produce electrical power.<ref name="seaweb" />
The ship was built at New Century Shipyard in Jingjiang, China. It was laid down on 20 December 2004, launched on 28 August 2005, and delivered on 16 March 2006.<ref name="seaweb" /> Eagle S began to be scrapped in Aliağa, Turkey in November 2025.<ref>{{cite web |last1=Braw |first1=Elisabeth |title=The emergence of the shadow shipbreaking market |url=https://www.politico.eu/article/emergence-of-the-shadow-shipbreaking-market-shadow-fleet-oil/ |website=POLITICO |access-date=2 January 2026 |date=26 November 2025}}</ref>
