The feature is named after the Dryads, tree nymphs in Greek mythology.<ref name=CGA/>

==Location== Dryad Lake is situated on the west side of Elephant Point and centred at {{coord|62|41|12|S|60|52|06|W|display=inline}}, which is 1.25 km north of Telish Rock, 1.5 km southeast of Amadok Point and 3.25 km west-southwest of Bond Point. Bulgarian mapping of the area in 2009 and 2017.
