==Etymology== The genus is named after the nickname Yuqilin ({{zh|t=玉麒麟|p=Yù qílín|s=}}, "Jade Qilin") for Lu Junyi ({{zh|t=盧俊義|p=Lú Jùnyì|s=}}), one of the 108 outlaws in the classical Chinese literature "Outlaws of the Marsh" ({{zh|t=|p=Shuǐhǔ Zhuàn|s=水滸傳}}). The species is named after the same outlaw.<ref name="lin2023" />
