== History == Yu Jen Jai was founded in 1877 by Jin Huang ({{Lang|zh|黃錦}}) selling "Phoenix Eye Cakes" ({{Lang|zh|鳳眼糕}}). The original store was built in the [[Baroque architecture|Baroque]] style in 1930, and the bakery has been housed in this building since. The current owner is the fourth generation descendant of the founder. As part of the Lukang City Government's efforts to demolish illegal structures, Yu Jen Jai's second branch store in Lukang had its [[veranda]] demolished in 2012. Its main store had delayed demolition by arguing that the building is historically significant.<ref>{{Cite web|url=https://tw.news.yahoo.com/%E6%8B%86%E9%B9%BF%E6%B8%AF-%E7%8E%89%E7%8F%8D%E9%BD%8B-%E9%A8%8E%E6%A8%93%E9%81%95%E5%BB%BA-%E5%88%97%E5%8F%A4%E8%B9%9F%E5%BE%85%E8%A9%95%E4%BC%B0-102352645.html|title=拆鹿港「玉珍齋」騎樓違建 列古蹟待評估 - Yahoo奇摩新聞|website=tw.news.yahoo.com|language=zh-Hant-TW|access-date=2019-01-05}}</ref>
