==Career== Tuyll served as aide-de-camp to Lord Uxbridge during the Peninsular War, and the Walcheren Campaign in 1809.<ref name=bio>{{cite web|url=http://www.napoleon-series.org/military/organization/Britain/Cavalry/Regiments/c_7thHussars.html|title=British Cavalry Regiments and the Men Who Led Them 1793-1815: 7th Light Dragoons (Hussars)|publisher=Napoleon Series|access-date=1 May 2017}}</ref> He became lieutenant-colonel on half-pay of the 25th Light Dragoons in February 1812 and colonel of 7th Queen's Own Hussars in March 1846.<ref name=bio/> While still in this position, he died on 26 December 1864.<ref name="Death"/>
He fought in India.
