==Demographics== As of the [[census]]<ref name="GR2" /> of 2000, there were 3,222 people, 1,433 households, and 849 families residing in the CDP. The [[population density]] was {{convert|125.0|/km2|/mi2|disp=preunit|people |people|abbr=on}}. There were 1,500 housing units at an average density of {{convert|58.2|/km2|/mi2|disp=preunit|units |units|abbr=on}}. The racial makeup of the CDP was 96.28% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.74% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.25% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 0.93% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], 0.09% [[Pacific Islander (U.S. Census)|Pacific Islander]], 0.47% from [[Race (United States Census)|other races]], and 1.24% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 1.43% of the population.

There were 1,433 households, out of which 28.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 46.1% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 10.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 40.7% were non-families. 33.6% of all households were made up of individuals, and 15.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.23 and the average family size was 2.87.

In the CDP, the population was spread out, with 23.0% under the age of 18, 5.8% from 18 to 24, 26.0% from 25 to 44, 28.4% from 45 to 64, and 16.9% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 42 years. For every 100 females, there were 80.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 78.9 males.

The median income for a household in the CDP was $35,332, and the median income for a family was $46,827. Males had a median income of $31,391 versus $22,114 for females.
