==History== Prior to June 1, 2013, the then-WBXY programmed a news/talk format as 99.5 The Star. At that time, following the station's sale from Asterisk Communications to JVC Media, it changed to a dance format billed as "Party 99.5,"<ref>{{cite news|last=Clark|first=Anthony|title=New owners swiftly pull the plug on local political talk show|url=http://www.gainesville.com/article/20130530/ARTICLES/130539955?p=1&tc=pg|access-date=May 30, 2013|newspaper=The Gainesville Sun|date=May 30, 2013}}</ref> whose direction was patterned after its sister station in Long Island, New York, WPTY.
