He was the minister of defence between 1962 and 1968 and a long-term member of the Parliament (1943–1969).

==Biography== Gram was born in Højby on 30 January 1910.<ref name=folket/><ref name=vagdy/> At age 16 he became a member of the Social Democratic Youth of Denmark which he headed between 1942 and 1946.<ref name=vagdy/> Then he joined the Social Democrats and served at the Parliament from 3 April 1943 to 12 February 1969.<ref name=vagdy/> On 15 November 1962 Gram was appointed minister of defense.<ref name=vagdy/> He remained in the post until 2 February 1968.<ref name=folket>{{cite web|title=Victor Gram (S)|url=https://www.ft.dk/medlemmer/fhvmf/v/victor-gram|language=da|publisher=Folketinget|access-date=19 July 2022|archive-date=19 July 2022|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20220719052652/https://www.ft.dk/medlemmer/fhvmf/v/victor-gram|url-status=live}}</ref> The cabinets were headed by Prime Minister Jens Otto Krag.<ref>{{cite web|author=Claus Bryld|title=Victor Gram|language=da|url=https://denstoredanske.lex.dk/Victor_Gram|publisher=Den Store Danske Encyklopædi|access-date=19 July 2022|archive-date=19 July 2022|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20220719052652/https://denstoredanske.lex.dk/Victor_Gram|url-status=live}}</ref>
