==Playing career== In 2014, he began his career with the Swift Current Broncos in the Western Hockey League. Steenbergen was named to the 2017 World Junior selection camp roster, but was not selected for the final roster.<ref name="reddeer2017" /> In 2018, he was selected to represent Canada for the 2018 World Junior team.
