==History== In an [[Ottoman Empire|Ottoman]] court record from 1818, Tuwaym was listed as a village of the [[Hama Sanjak]], consisting of 8 [[feddan]]s and paying 660 [[qirsh]] in taxes.{{sfn|Douwes|2000|p=225}} In 1838, Tuwaym was recorded as a [[Sunni Muslim]] village.{{sfn|Robinson|Smith|1841|p=[https://archive.org/stream/biblicalresearch03robiuoft#page/180/mode/1up 180]}} In the late 19th or early 20th centuries, the inhabitants sold all or most of their lands to the [[a'yan|urban notables]] of [[Hama]].
