The '''thornback skate''' ('''''Dentiraja lemprieri''''') is a species of [[Skate (fish)|skate]] of the family [[Rajidae]]. A bottom-dwelling fish, it is endemic to Australia, occurring in relatively shallow waters from near-shore to 170 metres.<ref name="FishBase">{{cite web|last1=Froese|first1=R.|last2=Pauly|first2=D.|title=Dentiraja lemprieri, Thornback skate|url=http://www.fishbase.org/summary/24081|website=FishBase|publisher=World Wide Web electronic publication}}</ref> The thornback skate can grow up to 52&nbsp;cm long.
