==Toponymy== Its name ''"Thai Ban"'' literally translates to "the end of the ''muban'' (village)". Because during the reign of King Chulalongkorn (Rama V), it was considered a very distant area from the downtown Samut Prakan, also colloquially known as Pak Nam.
