==Early life== Weigel was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida<ref>{{playmate|1986|4}}</ref> and grew up in Deerfield Beach, Florida.<ref name=OfficialBio>{{cite web |url=http://www.teriweigel.com/bio333.htm |title=Teri's Biography |access-date=2008-10-27 |publisher=teriweigel.com}}</ref> She began modeling while in her teens, appearing in the Saks Fifth Avenue catalog among other venues.<ref name=OfficialBio/>
==Career== Weigel appeared on the cover of the November 1985 issue of ''Playboy'', and was the Playboy Playmate for April 1986. She also appeared in a number of ''Playboy'' videos. She subsequently had several minor roles in mainstream film, including ''Predator 2'' and ''Marked for Death'', and made several appearances as "Jade" on ''Married... with Children''. She was the second Playmate to also appear in ''Penthouse'' magazine, after Ursula Buchfellner, November 1985.{{citation needed|date=December 2013}} She worked for a time at the Bunny Ranch Nevada brothel until September 1998.<ref>{{cite web |url=http://ainews.com/Archives/Story5260.phtml |title=Teri Weigel Interview |work=Adult Industry News |date=1999-12-15 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20180212032221/http://ainews.com/Archives/Story5260.phtml |access-date=2021-05-20 |url-status=usurped |archive-date=February 12, 2018}}</ref>
Weigel was in a car accident in August 1990, in which she suffered severe neck and back injuries that required five operations.<ref name=Broward>{{cite news |url=http://www.browardpalmbeach.com/2004-05-06/news/deep-inside-the-bunny/ |title=Deep Inside the Bunny |access-date=2009-05-16 |author=Trevor Aaronson |date=2004-05-06 |work=New Times Broward-Palm Beach |archive-date=November 5, 2014 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20141105110501/http://www.browardpalmbeach.com/2004-05-06/news/deep-inside-the-bunny/ |url-status=dead }}</ref> Unable to work for four months due to her injuries, she and her husband, Murrill Maglio, were forced to sell their home and move into an apartment. During production on a nude video that was one of Weigel's last projects for ''Playboy'', a co-worker suggested doing adult movies to earn money. Initially dismissive of the idea, Weigel eventually reconsidered. Weigel and Maglio spoke to their neighbors, Fred and Patti Lincoln, who produced adult films.<ref name="Davis">{{cite web |url=http://www.kevinadavis.com/a_star_is_porn_54147.htm |title=A Star is Porn |author=Davis, Kevin |date=17 September 1995 |work=Sun-Sentinel |location=Fort Lauderdale |url-status=dead |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20090522222643/http://www.kevinadavis.com/a_star_is_porn_54147.htm |archive-date=22 May 2009}}</ref>
Her first film was ''Inferno'' in 1991, in which she costarred with Marc Wallice.<ref name=Broward/> According to Weigel and Maglio, they did not see Weigel's sexual intercourse with other men as a problem because of the sense of security they felt in their relationship. Maglio has had minor, non-sexual roles in some of her films. To enhance her career viability, Weigel underwent breast augmentation, enlarging her breasts to 36DD. After she became the first Playboy Playmate to cross over into porn, the publisher terminated its relationship with her, as Playmates who do porn are not allowed to represent the company.<ref name=Broward/> Weigel's new career also hurt her relationship with her family, as her parents stopped speaking to her by 1992.<ref name=Davis/>
In 2000, ''Playboy'' sued Weigel over her use of the Playboy logo on her website.<ref name=Broward/>
==Personal life== Weigel married Murrill Maglio in December 1986.<ref name=Davis/> Maglio died on June 4, 2015, at the age of 63.<ref>{{cite web|url=https://twitter.com/TeriWeigel/status/612035107097079809|author=Weigel, Teri|title=(Untitled)|publisher=Twitter|language=en-US|url-status=live|date=June 19, 2015|access-date=July 11, 2024|archive-date=July 12, 2024|archive-url=https://archive.today/20240712023536/https://x.com/TeriWeigel/status/612035107097079809}}</ref>
