==== Pallikaranai Ramsar Issue ==== In October 2025, Arrapor Iyakkam, an NGO based out of Chennai, reported that clearance has been given for construction of a high rise by Brigade Constructions in Ramsar marsh lands near Perumbakkam, Chennai by the Environment, Climate Change and Forest Department, headed by Sahu.<ref>{{Cite news|date=2025-10-24|title=2,000 cr housing scam alleged inside Pallikaranai Ramsar site|language=en-IN|work=Times of India|url=https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/chennai/2000-cr-housing-scam-alleged-inside-pallikaranai-ramsar-site/articleshow/124769757.cms}}</ref> The NGO accused that clearance has been given inside the ecologically sensitive area and also submitted a 213-page annexure of evidence. It was also clarified that only after the completion of the entire exercise would it be known whether the lands on which the high-rise towers had been planned would fall within the prohibited zone or outside it.
