There is a plaque set in stone commemorating the village in Carson.<ref>{{cite news |last=Gnerre |first=Sam |title=''The Suangna Native American village in Carson'' (Suangna) |url=http://blogs.dailybreeze.com/history/2015/01/17/the-suangna-native-american-village-in-carson/ |date=2015-01-17|publisher=South Bay Daily Breeze|work= |location= |access-date=2021-12-29}}</ref>
It may have also been referred to as '''Swaanga''', which was recorded as one of the largest villages in the region. Evidence of the village may have still been recognizable as late as 1852. A local historian in the area provided a potential location as "the side of the hill above what is now Anaheim Street between the Harbor Freeway and Gaffey Street. Silka adds that the village was located near a crossing of major Native American trails, which today is located at the intersection of Gaffey and Anaheim Streets, Vermont Avenue and Palos Verdes Drive North, commonly called Five Points."<ref name=":0">{{Cite journal |title=Cultural Resources Survey |url=https://kentico.portoflosangeles.org/getmedia/87a68d5d-0fa0-43f2-95f2-d0b67bd1d1c9/AppxF-2_archaeologicalsurveyreport |journal=San Pedro Waterfront Project |pages=9}}</ref> However, others have placed the village at a different location.<ref name=":0" />
