The Burg Schlaining, built by Henry I Kőszegi, is located there, which hosts the Austrian Study Centre for Peace and Conflict Resolution (ASPR) and the Peace Museum.
==Population== The town is located in southern Burgenland on the western slopes of the Günser Gebirge.
