== Club career ==
Song started his professional career with the Pohang Steelers, as a draft player from Dong-A University.<ref>{{cite news |url=http://www.footballsquads.co.uk/sthkorea/2008/kleague/pohang.htm |title=Pohang Steelers 2008 Squad |publisher=footballsquads.co.uk}}</ref> A regular squad member, he made most of his appearances for the club from the bench as a substitute.
