==Career== Stevenson first rose to prominence after winning the Rileys Plymouth qualifier for the 2014 UK Open.<ref>{{cite web | url=http://www.plymouthherald.co.uk/Butlins-trip-holiday-Stevenson/story-20749821-detail/story.html | title=Butlins trip will be no holiday for Stevenson | publisher=Plymouth Herald}}</ref> He defeated Ian Jones, Jason Lovett, Mark Barilli and Rocco Maes to reach the last 32 before losing 9–5 to Jamie Lewis.<ref>{{cite web | url=http://www.pdc.tv/uk-open/article/1l1zxqowxwax918xxjscx9zeft/title/coral-uk-open-saturday-afternoon | archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20150110192725/http://www.pdc.tv/uk-open/article/1l1zxqowxwax918xxjscx9zeft/title/coral-uk-open-saturday-afternoon | url-status=dead | archive-date=10 January 2015 | title=Coral UK Open - Saturday Afternoon | publisher=PDC}}</ref>
Stevenson gained the nickname "The Mirror Man" in a late 2014 clash, matching exactly dart-for-dart on three unusual finishes by opponent Darren Hardyment before eventually clinching a resounding victory in the West Midlands derby. It was 6th time lucky for Stevenson who self-proclaimedly suffered 5 years bad luck at the event before triumphing.{{Citation needed|date=December 2024}}
The following year, he again qualified for the 2015 UK Open via the Rileys Reading qualifier,<ref>{{cite web | url=http://www.pdc.tv/uk-open/article/akwmnykgizsq1tj4if41h9nxh/title/final-rileys-qualifiers-confirmed | archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20150403030111/http://www.pdc.tv/uk-open/article/akwmnykgizsq1tj4if41h9nxh/title/final-rileys-qualifiers-confirmed | url-status=dead | archive-date=3 April 2015 | title=Final Rileys Qualifiers Confirmed | publisher=PDC}}</ref> but could not repeat his 2014 performance as he lost 5–2 to Dave Prins in the preliminary round.<ref>{{cite web | url=http://www.pdc.tv/uk-open/article/13pzjvgnv9i4o1w6pfuvlcf6ax/title/coral-uk-open---friday-afternoon | archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20150308194232/http://www.pdc.tv/uk-open/article/13pzjvgnv9i4o1w6pfuvlcf6ax/title/coral-uk-open---friday-afternoon | url-status=dead | archive-date=8 March 2015 | title=Coral UK Open - Friday Afternoon | publisher=PDC}}</ref>

He led Klaasen 3–1 and 4–2 but then lost four legs in a row to be defeated.<ref>{{cite web | url=http://www.pdc.tv/news/article/u06g3io2msfo1qz90cxefibxu/title/cash-converters-pcf-day-one | archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20161125181547/http://www.pdc.tv/news/article/u06g3io2msfo1qz90cxefibxu/title/cash-converters-pcf-day-one | url-status=dead | archive-date=25 November 2016 | title=2016 Players Championship Finals | publisher=PDC}}</ref>

At the end of 2017, Stevenson was ranked 77 in the world and therefore outside of the Top 64 who automatically retain their Tour Cards.
