Starting her career as an actress in Malayalam feature films in the early 1990s, she ventured into [[Model (person)|modeling]] and became noted, after participating in and winning several [[beauty pageant]]s, which led to her debut in [[Hindi cinema]]. In 2011, she filed a case against Kunnath Pharmaceuticals' managing director K. C.
