==History== Sheffield was platted in 1874, and it was named for a personal friend of the founder's. The racial makeup of the city was 98.2% White, 0.2% African American, 0.3% Native American, 0.5% Asian, 0.1% Pacific Islander, 0.1% from other races, and 0.6% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.9% of the population.

The racial makeup of the city was 99.14% White, 0.32% Asian, and 0.54% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.65% of the population.
