Between 1983 and 1997, Carry held positions at Olds College, including registrar, dean, and vice president of student and support services.<ref name="AOE" /> From 1997 to 2016, Carry served as president and chief executive officer of Bow Valley College from 1997 through the end of 2016, where she led the school through a transition from provincial administration to a public governance model.
