== History == After some titles published in the first collection, of suggestive name ''La civiltà perfezionata'' (The improved civilization), the publisher gained visibility with the publication in 1978 of Leonardo Sciascia's ''L'affaire Moro'' (The case Aldo Moro).<ref name=":87204">{{Cite web|url=https://www.minimaetmoralia.it/wp/approfondimenti/sciascia-affaire-moro/|title=L'AFFAIRE MORO: SCIASCIA SULLE TRACCE DEL PRIGIONIERO|website=Minima & Moralia |language=it|date=9 May 2020}}</ref> From then on the number of collections grows, starting with ''La memoria'' (The memory), today practically a symbol of the italian publisher.<ref name=":7204"/>
Among the writers who have collaborated with the publishing house: Gesualdo Bufalino, launched in 1981, winner of the Campiello Prize and Strega Prize<ref name="sc12">{{cite web|url=https://www.fondazionebufalino.it/en/node/93|title=La vita|website=Fondazione Gesualdo Bufalino |language=it}}</ref><ref name="sc122">{{cite web|url=https://www.insiemeragusa.it/2013/06/07/bufalino-e-la-scommessa-di-elvira-sellerio/|title=Bufalino e la scommessa di Elvira Sellerio|website=Insieme Ragusa |date=7 June 2013|language=it}}</ref> and Andrea Camilleri ("father" of Montalbano).<ref name=":g7204"/><ref name="sac12">{{cite news |url=https://ricerca.repubblica.it/repubblica/archivio/repubblica/2019/02/15/i-50-anni-di-sellerio-una-storia-siciliana-dipinta-di-bluPalermo16.html|title=I 50 anni di Sellerio una storia siciliana dipinta di blu|newspaper=la Repubblica|date=15 February 2019|language=it}}</ref>
From 1983 onwards Elvira Sellerio started to dedicate herself only to narrative and essay publications while Enzo Sellerio started to take care of art and photography publications. Among the collections that have gradually been constituted are also specialized series, such as ''La città antica'' (The ancient city), from classical culture, and the Sicilian Library of History and Literature (''Sicilian Library of history and letteratura'').<ref name=":7204"/>
By 2020 the Sellerio catalog has more than three thousand titles.<ref name="sac124">{{cite web|url=http://www.viveregiovani.it/news/libri/280791/per-i-suoi-50-anni-sellerio-pubblica-cinquanta-in-blu-otto-racconti-gialli.html|title=Per i suoi 50 anni Sellerio pubblica "Cinquanta in blu.
