== Route description == Highway 905 begins at Highway&nbsp;102, about {{convert|22|km}} southwest of Southend. The highway heads in a northerly direction passing by, and providing access to, Davin Lake Recreation Site,<ref>{{cite web |title=Davin Lake Lodge |url=https://www.tourismsaskatchewan.com/listings/1224/davin-lake-lodge |website=Tourism Saskatchewan |publisher=Government of Saskatchewan |access-date=2 September 2023}}</ref> Courtenay Lake Recreation Site,<ref>{{cite web |title=Courtenay Lake Campground |url=https://www.tourismsaskatchewan.com/listings/1420/courtenay-lake-campground |website=Tourism Saskatchewan |publisher=Government of Saskatchewan |access-date=2 September 2023 }}</ref> Geikie River Recreation Site, Wollaston Lake Barge Ferry at Hidden Bay on Wollaston Lake, and Wollaston Lake Recreation Site before coming to an intersection with a road that goes to Rabbit Lake mine and Collins Bay on Wollaston Lake. After this intersection, Highway&nbsp;905 takes a northwesterly route, passing through Points North Landing about {{convert|33|km}} from the intersection, and continues to the former Highway&nbsp;964 near Black Lake. From there, it heads west to Stony Rapids, which is only {{convert|82|km}} south of the Northwest Territories border.<ref name=2016_map/>
