Since Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is one of the few countries in the world that recognize Taiwan as the legitimate Chinese government, SVG-TV has routinely received foreign support from Taiwan. On January 17, 2019, SVG-TV signed an agreement to air the Taiwanese drama series ''The New World'', produced by Taiwan Television.<ref>{{cite news |title=Taiwanese drama series to be aired on SVGTV |url=https://www.searchlight.vc/news/2019/01/25/taiwanese-drama-series-to-be-aired-on-svgtv/ |work=Searchlight |date=January 25, 2019}}</ref>
