The '''S&C Subdivision''' is a railroad line owned and operated by CSX Transportation in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. The line runs from the Keystone Subdivision at Rockwood north to Johnstown<ref>[https://web.archive.org/web/20020714162244/http://www.trainweb.org/csxtimetables/Baltimore/S%26C.html CSX Timetables: S&C Subdivision]</ref><ref>http://wiki.radioreference.com/index.php/SC-S_and_C_Sub {{unreliable source|date=October 2019}}</ref><ref>[http://www.multimodalways.org/docs/railroads/companies/CSX/CSX%20ETTs/CSX%20Baltimore%20Div%20ETT%20%234%201-1-2005.pdf CSX Baltimore Division Timetable]</ref> along a former Baltimore and Ohio Railroad line, once the Somerset and Cambria Railroad.
==History== The Somerset & Mineral Point Railroad connected Somerset to what was then the Pittsburgh & Connellsville Railroad as it passed through Rockwood (then called Mineral Point)<ref name="WatermanWatkins">{{cite book|title=History of Bedford, Somerset and Fulton Counties, Pennsylvania|url=https://archive.org/details/pa-bedford-somerset-fulton-1884-waterman/page/n180/|year=1884|publisher=Waterman, Watkins & Co.|location=Chicago|page=180}}</ref> in the early 1870s.
The Johnstown & Somerset Railroad followed the Stonycreek Valley north-by-northeast from Somerset through Stoystown to Johnstown around 1880. The Somerset & Mineral Point Railroad and the Johnstown & Somerset Railroad were combined and reorganized as the Somerset and Cambria Branch Railroad.<ref name="WatermanWatkins"></ref>
Through leases and mergers, the line became part of the B&O and then CSX.
