The rock was encountered at [[Rocknest (Mars)|Rocknest]] by the [[Curiosity rover|''Curiosity'' rover]] on its way from [[Bradbury Landing]] to the Point Lake overlook while traveling toward [[Glenelg, Mars|Glenelg Intrigue]] in October 2012.
