==Biography== Robert T. Davis was born in [[County Down]], Ireland on August 28, 1823. He graduated from [[Harvard Medical School]] in 1848, and practiced medicine in [[Waterville, Maine]] for three years, before moving to [[Fall River, Massachusetts]].<ref name=Progress/>
He married Sarah C. Wilbur in 1848. She died in 1856, and he remarried to Susan A. Haight in 1862. They had one child.<ref name=Progress/>
