'''Richard Arthur Carty''' (28 July 1922 — 31 March 1984) was an English first-class cricketer.
Carty was born at Southampton in July 1922. Following the Second World War, Hampshire were in the process of rebuilding their post-war team under the secretaryship and captaincy of Desmond Eagar.
