==Geography== The forest is in the parishes of Bromeswell in the west, Eyke, Capel St Andrew to the south, and Butley, Suffolk to the east. It is in the Suffolk Coastal district.<ref>{{Cite book|last=Guides|first=Rough|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=BkmLCwAAQBAJ&pg=PT350|title=The Rough Guide to Norfolk & Suffolk (Travel Guide eBook)|date=2016-05-02|publisher=Rough Guides UK|isbn=978-0-241-27839-0|language=en}}</ref> It is part of the Sandlings Forest Site of Special Scientific Interest. A large area of the forest was cleared for the construction of RAF Woodbridge in 1943.
