The '''''Ragnar'' class''' consisted of three destroyers built for the Royal Swedish Navy before World War I, {{HSwMS|Ragnar|1908|2}}, {{HSwMS|Sigurd|1908|2}}, and {{HSwMS|Vidar|1909|2}}.

==Design and description== The ''Ragnar''-class destroyer was an improved version of the preceding {{HSwMS|Wale||2}}.<ref name=b0>Harris, p. 123</ref> The ships normally displaced {{convert|350|LT|t|lk=on}} and {{convert|416|LT|t}} at full load. They measured {{convert|66.1|m|ftin|sp=us}} long overall with a beam of {{convert|6.3|m|ftin|sp=us}}, and a draft of {{convert|1.8|m|ftin|sp=us}}. The ''Ragnar''s were propelled by two 4-cylinder vertical triple-expansion steam enginess, each driving one three-bladed propeller using steam from four Yarrow boilers. The engines were designed to produce a total of {{convert|7200|ihp|lk=on}} for an intended maximum speed of {{convert|30|kn||lk=on}}. On ''Vidar''{{'}}s sea trials, she reached {{convert|31.3|kn}}. The ships carried enough coal to give them a range of {{convert|1400|nmi|lk=in}} at {{convert|12|kn}}. The ''Ragnar''{{'}}s dispensed with ''Wale''{{'}}s {{convert|57|mm|in|sp=us|adj=on}} M89/B guns in exchange for two additional {{convert|75|mm|0|sp=us|adj=on}} M/05 guns. One gun each was located at the forecastle and stern; the other two guns were positioned on the main deck amidships, one gun on each broadside. The ships were equipped with two {{convert|457|mm|sp=us|adj=on|0}} torpedo tubes in rotating mounts located between the rear funnel and the stern gun. Two {{convert|6.5|mm|in|sp=us|adj=on}} M/10 machine guns were added to the ships in 1911–1912 and the single torpedo tubes were replaced by twin-tube mounts in 1916–1917.<ref name=w1/>
