Port Leopold

It faces [[Prince Regent Inlet]] at the northeast tip of [[Somerset Island (Nunavut)|Somerset Island]].

[[Elwin Bay]]{{ref|map 1|map}} is to the south, while [[Prince Leopold Island]]{{ref|map 2|map}} is to the north.

==History== In 1848, the English explorer [[James Clark Ross]] wintered here during his search for the missing [[John Franklin|Franklin]] expedition.<ref name="Bolduc">{{cite journal|last=Bolduc|first=P.-A. |author2=J.D.
