Its central and highest summit, ''Pliska Peak'', is located {{convert|2.48|km|abbr=on}} east-northeast of Willan Nunatak ({{convert|449|m|abbr=on}}), {{convert|1.81|km|abbr=on}} southeast of Burdick Peak ({{convert|773|m|abbr=on}}, summit of Burdick Ridge), {{convert|3.53|km|abbr=on}} south-southwest of Mount Bowles, {{convert|3.68|km|abbr=on}} west-southwest of Kuzman Knoll, and {{convert|3.61|km|abbr=on}} northwest of Mount Friesland. The feature is {{convert|1.6|km|abbr=on}} long and {{convert|500|m|abbr=on}} wide, its axis trending due east-west, with precipitous southern slopes. It is ice-covered except for segments of its easternmost peak ({{convert|646|m|abbr=on}}) and is bounded to the northwest by Orpheus Gate, to the north by the head of Perunika Glacier, to the east by Nesebar Gap, and to the south and west by the head of Huntress Glacier, the latter flowing {{convert|6|km|abbr=on}} southwestwards into False Bay.

Pliska is the name of a settlement in north-eastern Bulgaria, which in the seventh century became the capital of the First Bulgarian Empire.
