Its course crosses the departments of Marne, Aisne and Seine-et-Marne. It flows westwards through the towns of Montmirail, Villeneuve-sur-Bellot, Saint-Cyr-sur-Morin and Jouarre, finally flowing into the Marne in La Ferté-sous-Jouarre.
