==Personal life== Amory was married to actress [[Claire King]], who played his ''Emmerdale'' stepmother, [[Kim Tate]], but the couple separated after ten years following his affair with co-star [[Samantha Giles]]; they remained friends. He has a son, Thomas, from a previous relationship.
