'''Sir Percy Wilson Newson, 1st Baronet''' (4 April 1874 – 17 May 1950) was a British banker and jute merchant in India.

Newson was born in Suffolk, the son of Georgina Martha and William Henry Newson.<ref>{{Cite web|url=https://famouskin.com/pedigree.php?name=136400+ranulph+fiennes&ahnum=1|title = Ranulph Fiennes Pedigree Chart &#124; Ranulph Twisleton-Wykeham-Fiennes &#124; Ahnentafel No: 1 (136400)}}</ref> He was senior partner with Jardine, Skinner & Co in Calcutta and also became president of the Bank of Bengal in 1920 and Governor of the Imperial Bank of India in 1921. He was knighted in the 1920 New Year Honours<ref>{{London Gazette|issue=31712 |date=30 December 1919 |page=3 |supp=y}}</ref> and created a baronet in the 1921 Birthday Honours.<ref>{{London Gazette|issue=32346 |date=4 June 1921 |page=4530 |supp=y}}</ref> He served as Conservative Member of Parliament for Tamworth from 1922<ref>{{London Gazette |issue=32586 |date=24 January 1922 |page=628 }}</ref> to 1923.<ref>{{Rayment|date=February 2012}}</ref> He was the maternal grandfather of English explorer Ranulph Fiennes.
