The '''People's Peasant Party''' ({{langx|sr|Народна сељачка странка|Narodna seljačka stranka}}, abbr. '''NSS''') is an agrarian political party in Serbia.

== History == {{update|date=July 2016}} It was founded in 1990, its first president being Dragan Veselinov.<ref>Robert Thomas: [https://books.google.com/books?id=ih_Is_q4Rz8C&lpg=PR19&pg=PA65 Serbia under Milošević: politics in the 1990s], pp. 65–66</ref> At this point, its policies were Vojvodina autonomist and social democratic.

In the 1990 election it won one seat. In the 1992 election it entered into a coalition with the League of Social Democrats of Vojvodina (LSV), as well as Serbian successors to Union of Reform Forces of Yugoslavia and Association for the Yugoslav Democratic Initiative, respectively renamed the Reform Party and the Republican Club. The coalition was called the Civic Alliance of Serbia (GSS) and won no seats.<ref>Robert Thomas: [https://books.google.com/books?id=ih_Is_q4Rz8C&lpg=PR19&pg=PA116 Serbia under Milošević: politics in the 1990s], pp. 116-117</ref> The LSV and NSS left the GSS coalition before the 1993 election. In the 1997 election it was part of the regionalist Vojvodina Coalition and won one seat.<ref>Robert Thomas: [https://books.google.com/books?id=ih_Is_q4Rz8C&lpg=PR19&pg=PA116 Serbia under Milošević: politics in the 1990s], p. 183</ref>

Since 2002, the party has been led by Marijan Rističević. In 2003 it was expelled from the Vojvodina Coalition.<ref>{{cite web |url=http://www.vojvodina.com/politika/arhiva3/030114.html |url-status=dead |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20030406105512/http://www.vojvodina.com/politika/arhiva3/030114.html |archive-date=6 April 2003 |title=Vojvodina, Arhiva}}</ref>

In the 2003 election, it was part of the far-right For National Unity coalition which won no seats. In the 2007 election the party ran on Serbian Renewal Movement's list,<ref>{{cite news|url=http://www.b92.net/info/vesti/index.php?yyyy=2006&mm=12&dd=01&nav_id=222058|title=SPO i NSS zajedno na izbore|language=sr|publisher=B92|date=1 December 2006|access-date=22 November 2013}}</ref> which won no seats. In the 2012 election it was part of a centre-right coalition around the Serbian Progressive Party and won one seat.<ref>{{cite web |title=Proglašena izborna lista SNS |url=https://www.b92.net/info/izbori2012/vesti.php?yyyy=2012&mm=03&dd=20&nav_id=592823 |publisher=B92 |access-date=19 August 2018 |language=sr |date=20 March 2012}}</ref> In the 2014 election it was not formally in coalition with the Serbian Progressive Party, however it won one seat as Marijan Rističević was listed on the Progressives' electoral list.<ref>{{cite web |title=Na listi naprednjaka Udovičić, Marjan Rističević, Saša Mirković... |url=https://www.blic.rs/vesti/politika/na-listi-naprednjaka-udovicic-marjan-risticevic-sasa-mirkovic/ht8ht75 |publisher=Blic |access-date=19 August 2018 |language=sr |date=5 February 2014}}</ref>
