==Career== Before pursuing a career in writing Kidd had worked at Beam Software, an Australia-based game developer. She is credited as, among other things, the writer, director and lead designer of ''Nightshade'', an action-adventure title for the NES.<ref>{{cite web|url=https://www.gamesetwatch.com/2007/06/column_might_have_been_nightsh.php|title=GameSetWatch COLUMN: 'Might Have Been' - Nightshade|website=www.gamesetwatch.com}}</ref> She is also credited as the lead designer for ''Shadowrun''.
