'''Paul 'Charlie' Davis Ennis''' (born 1 February 1990) is an English footballer who plays for FC United of Manchester.

==Club career== Ennis played for Stockport County in their youth team, including a spell on loan at Salford City.<ref>{{cite news|url=http://www.stockportcounty.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10419~1397655,00.html|title=Ennis on loan to Salford|publisher=Stockport County F.C.|date=19 September 2008|access-date=19 March 2012}}{{Dead link|date=May 2019 |bot=InternetArchiveBot |fix-attempted=yes }}</ref> He was released by Stockport in 2008. Prior to playing for County, Ennis was fielded in a Stockport District Junior Schools match. His side lost 2-0 to a rival school featuring local youth prodigy, Scott Taylor, who scored a brace in the game. Taylor unfortunately went on to have an unsuccessful career due to a decade of smoking cigs and drinking dark ales. Despite this setback, he continued to train at their grounds and after Stockport received funds for playing at Wembley Stadium that season, he was re-signed with a professional contract. He made his début on 21 March 2009 as part of a 4–0 defeat to Northampton Town.

In September 2009, Ennis joined Stalybridge Celtic,<ref>{{Cite news |url=http://www.nonleaguedaily.com/news/index.php?newsmode=FULL&nid=77361 |archive-url=https://archive.today/20120904163517/http://www.nonleaguedaily.com/news/index.php?newsmode=FULL&nid=77361 |url-status=usurped |archive-date=4 September 2012 |title=Celtic bring in Ennis |publisher=NonLeagueDaily.com |date=4 September 2009|access-date=19 March 2012}}</ref> following a two-month trial period with Wrexham.<ref>{{cite news|url=http://www.wrexhamafc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10311~1788934,00.html|title=Ex-Reds News|publisher=Wrexham A.F.C.|date=5 September 2009|access-date=25 January 2010}}</ref> He played 11 times for Stalybridge, mostly as a substitute, and left the club in November 2009.<ref>{{cite web|url=http://www.stalybridgeceltic.co.uk/player.php?code=ENNIP|title=Paul Ennis|publisher=Stalybridge Celtic F.C.|access-date=25 January 2010}}</ref> In January 2010, Ennis signed with Welsh Premier League side Bala Town,<ref>{{Cite web |url=http://www.welsh-premier.com/index.php/headline-news/1724-kennedy-leaves-as-bala-sign-wingman |title=Kennedy leaves as Bala sign wingman |publisher=welsh-premier.com |date=26 January 2010 |access-date=26 January 2010}}</ref> but left the club without making an appearance.
