The '''Partnach''' is an {{convert|18|km|mi|adj=mid|-long}} mountain river in Bavaria, Germany.
It rises at a height of {{cvt|1440|m|ft}} on the Zugspitze Massif. The Partnach is fed by meltwaters from the Schneeferner glacier some {{cvt|1100|m}} higher up. The glacier's meltwaters seep into the karsty bedrock and reach the surface again near the source of the Partnach.
The Partnach then flows down the Reintal valley. Until 2005 there were two mountain lakes here – the Vordere Blaue Gumpe and the Hintere Blaue Gumpe. At the first lake the water of the Partnach was impounded by scree from rock slides. As a result of heavy rain the natural dam, caused by rockfalls, was partially carried away and the lake was completed filled with sediment. As a result, the Blaue Gumpe does not exist any longer today. <!--
Im Reintal formt die Partnach insgesamt vier Klammen, von denen die letzte die bekannte und touristisch erschlossene Partnachklamm ist. Diese vierte Partnachklamm ist 720 Meter lang und bis zu 80 m tief. Innerhalb der Klamm verengt sich die zuvor bis zu 25 m breite Partnach auf oft nur noch 5 m Breite und überwindet eine mehrere Meter hohe Felsstufe mit einem Wasserfall. Unterhalb der Gefällstufen hat sie zum Teil mehrere Meter tiefe Strudeltöpfe gebildet. Im Zentrum durchfließt sie ein Felsentor.
Am nordwestlichen Stadtrand von Garmisch-Partenkirchen mündet die Partnach near 690 m ü. NN rechtsseitig in die Loisach. Sie legt damit auf kurzer Strecke eine Höhendistanz von 750 m zurück. Ihr durchschnittliches Gefälle beträgt 4,5 %. Bis zum Stadtrand von Garmisch-Partenkirchen ist die Partnach ein naturnaher Fluss. Ab dort bis zur Mündung in die Loisach sind ihre Ufer mit Stein- und Blockschüttungen verbaut und dadurch festgelegt. Die Partnach ist auf mehreren Stegen und Brücken zu überqueren. Der erste führt an der Bockhütte im Reintal über den Fluss, der zweite und dritte erst kurz vor dem Eingang der Partnachklamm. Zwei Stege lassen auch tief in die Klamm selbst blicken. Hinter der Klamm ermöglichen in Garmisch-Partenkirchen und am südlichen Stadtrand insgesamt 10 Straßen- und Fußgängerbrücken sowie 2 Eisenbahnbrücken die Querung der Partnach. -->
