It is found in most of Australia, New Guinea, Fergusson Island and the Louisiade Archipelago. The larvae feed on Asteraceae, Boraginaceae, Euphorbiaceae, Fabaceae, Plantaginaceae, Polygonaceae and Portulacaceae species.
