'''''Pang uk''''' ({{zh|t=棚屋|j=paang4 uk1|l=shack house}}) is a kind of stilt house found in Tai O, Lantau Island, Hong Kong.<ref>{{cite news |last=Sala |first=Ilaria Maria |date=9 September 2022 |title=Canals, Stilt Houses and Shrimp: Your Guide to Tai O |url=https://zolimacitymag.com/canals-stilt-houses-and-shrimp-your-guide-to-tai-o/ |work=Zolima CityMag |location= |access-date=}}</ref> ''Pang uk'' are built on water or on small beaches.

A fire broke out in 2000 destroying some of the houses in Tai O,<ref name="SCMP fire">{{cite news |last=Lee |first=Naomi |date=3 July 2000 |title=Tai O fire leaves 300 homeless |url=https://www.scmp.com/article/320397/tai-o-fire-leaves-300-homeless |work=South China Morning Post |location= |access-date=}}</ref> and some were later rebuilt.

They were once found in many other fishing towns and villages in rural Hong Kong, but only those in Tai O are preserved in a large scale, with some in the Lei Yue Mun Village and Ma San Tsuen in Lei Yue Mun. Pang uk developed from the boat houses of ''Tanka'' ({{lang|zh-Hant-HK|蜑家}}) or fishing people, after they moved to reside on land.<ref>{{Cite web |title=修復棚屋 扶助社區 |url=https://lifescape.com.hk/zh-hant/single_story/restoring-stilt-houses-supporting-the-community/ |access-date=2024-11-10 |website=建構更美好生活 |language=zh-hant}}</ref>
