Pak won the [[Pyongyang Marathon]] on 13 April 2014 with a personal best of 2:12:26. In 2016 Pak Chol won the [[Pyongyang Marathon|Pyongyang Mangyongdae Marathon]] in a time of 2:14:11. He then went on to represent his country in the men's marathon at the [[2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games]].
