'''''Oxygyne''''' is a genus of achlorophyllous mycoheterotrophic plants in the family Burmanniaceae. First described in 1906 by German botanist Rudolf Schlechter with ''Oxygyne triandra'' as the type species, six species are currently recognised. The genus has a highly disjunct distribution, with three species known from Japan and three from West-Central Africa, with each species known only from a single location.<ref name=POWO/><ref name=mono>{{cite journal |last1=Cheek |first1=Martin |last2=Tsukaya |first2=Hirokazu |last3=Rudall |first3=Paula J. |last4=Suetsugu |first4=Kenji |author1-link=Martin Cheek |year=2018 |title=Taxonomic monograph of ''Oxygyne'' (Thismiaceae), rare achlorophyllous mycoheterotrophs with strongly disjunct distribution |language=en |journal=PeerJ |volume=6 |article-number=e4828 |doi=10.7717/peerj.4828 |pmid=29844979 |doi-access=free |issn=2167-8359 |oclc=793828439|pmc=5970556 |bibcode=2018PeerJ...6e4828C }}</ref><ref>{{Cite book|date=1907-01-01|title=Botanische Jahrbücher für Systematik, Pflanzengeschichte und Pflanzengeographie.|url=https://www.biodiversitylibrary.org/page/128059#page/153/mode/1up|language=en|volume=v.38 (1907)}}</ref><ref name=elusive>{{cite journal |last1=Thorogood |first1=Chris J. |year=2019 |title=''Oxygyne'': An extraordinarily elusive flower |journal=Plants, People, Planet |volume=1 |issue=2 |pages=67–70 |doi=10.1002/ppp3.26 |bibcode=2019PlPP....1...67T |doi-access=free |issn=2572-2611 |oclc=1099802834}}</ref>
