Orienthella is a genus of sea slugs, specifically aeolid nudibranchs, marine gastropod molluscs in the family Coryphellidae.[2][3]
Taxonomic Notes
In a recent study, Ekimova et al. (2026) synonymized Coryphellidae with Flabellinidae, and synonymized all genera previously within Coryphellidae with Coryphella[4]. It is very important to note that despite Orienthella being invalidated, Orienthella piunca currently remains a fully accepted species[5], as it was the only member of Orienthella not included in the study.
Species
Species within the genus Orienthella are as follows:[2][1]
- Orienthella cooperi (T. D. A. Cockerell, 1901)
- Orienthella fogata (Millen & Hermosillo, 2007)
- Orienthella piunca (Marcus, Er., 1961)
- Orienthella trilineata (O'Donoghue, 1921)
- Orienthella verta (Marcus, Ev. 1970)
