== Geography == The capital of the Regierungsbezirk was the Upper Silesian city of Oppeln. Other important cities in the region included Kattowitz, Gleiwitz, Beuthen, Königshütte, Hindenburg, Ratibor, Neustadt, Neisse and Kreuzburg.
