The '''Ombudsman Institution''' ({{langx|tr|Kamu Denetçiliği Kurumu}}) is a Turkish institution that examines and investigates complaints and submits recommendations about the conformity of the activities of the Government of Turkey with law and fairness with respect to human rights. The institution is independent of the government and answers to the Parliament alone. The Ombudsman Institution evaluates complaints from both individuals and legal entities; foreign nationals may also lodge complaints.<ref name="OHCHR">{{cite web |title=The Ombudsman Institution of Turkey and its role in ensuring access to justice for the right to housing and property |url=https://www.ohchr.org/Documents/Issues/Housing/Justice/OmbudsmanInstitutionTurkey.pdf |website=Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights |access-date=4 May 2021}}</ref><ref>{{cite news |last1=Duran |first1=Hazal |title=Turkey Seeks for an Effective Public Dispute Resolution Mechanism |url=https://politicstoday.org/turkey-seeks-for-an-effective-public-dispute-resolution-mechanism/ |access-date=12 May 2021 |work=Politics Today |date=18 February 2019}}</ref>
